Questions people ask before launching

Everything below describes exactly how this application behaves today, including what happens when something goes wrong.

How much does it cost to create a Solana token?

Creating a token costs 0.1 SOL. Each optional extra (creator and social info, revoke freeze authority, revoke mint authority, revoke update authority) adds 0.1 SOL, and the total is capped at 0.5 SOL. Solana network fees are included in that price.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You fill in the token name, symbol, supply, decimals and logo, approve one payment in your wallet, and the token is created for you. There is no command line, no Rust and no smart contract to write.

Which wallets can I use?

Phantom, Solflare and Backpack. On a desktop browser the wallet extension is detected automatically. On a phone, choosing a wallet opens this page inside that wallet's own browser and your token details are carried across with you.

How long does it take?

Most tokens are created within a minute of the payment confirming on Solana. Busy periods can take up to about two minutes, so keep the page open until the mint address appears.

Do you ever see my seed phrase or private keys?

No. The application is non-custodial. It requests a wallet connection and asks you to approve each transaction inside your own wallet. It never asks for a seed phrase or a private key, and it cannot move funds on your behalf.

What do the revoke authority options do?

Revoking mint authority means nobody can ever increase the supply again. Revoking freeze authority means no wallet holding your token can be frozen later. Revoking update authority permanently locks the token name, symbol and logo. All three are irreversible and are commonly expected by holders and listing sites.

What happens if my payment goes through but the token is not created?

Your payment signature is saved on screen and survives a page refresh, along with a link to the transaction on Solscan. Send that signature to support and it will be resolved. Do not pay again: a second attempt is charged as a separate payment.

Which network do tokens launch on?

Solana Mainnet. The network the mint service is running on is shown in the header, and paid creation is only offered on Mainnet.
